This is tremendous information! It’s makes so much sense, and yet so many managers seem to miss the heart of their role. Ever since reading Multipliers, I have gained a much better understanding of how management should work, both as a manager and as a direct report. Thank you, Liz, for your research and wisdom!

Question. Your work helps managers how they can be better at what they do. What if one is suffering under a difficult manager? Do you have advice for dealing with that? Keep in mind that many managers do not want to hear that they’re doing their jobs poorly.
